Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours
Item Code: Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours
The Vietnam War was the longest twentieth century conflict in which Australians participated. Involvement in the war cost more than 500 Australian servicemen their lives, while some 3,000 were wounded, otherwise injured or were victims of illness. We visit all the major battle sites in Phuoc Tuy Province including the Long Tan Cross memorial site. The battle of Long Tan was Australia's most costly single engagement of the Vietnam War. Although there were bigger and more sustained battles involving larger formations, few were so intense and dramatic. You can join our Flexi Tour on any day you choose, meaning your battlefield tour will easily slot into your holiday itinerary.
On Anzac Day 1918 Australian soldiers captured the French town of Villers-Bretonneux, an action that was called 'one of the finest feats of the war'. This is your chance to commemorate the 100th anniversary of this outstanding attack, alongside thousands of fellow Australians at the Australian National Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux.
We are busy creating fantastic trips for our clients and will write something up soon.
